Research committee appointed for dean of Princeton’s University of General public and Worldwide Affairs

University President Christopher L. Eisgruber has appointed a 11-member committee to lookup for a new dean of Princeton’s College of Community and Intercontinental Affairs (SPIA). Cecilia Rouse, the school’s dean because 2012, has been nominated by President-elect Joe Biden to chair the ​Council of Financial Advisers​ (CEA).

Mark Watson, the Howard Harrison and Gabrielle Snyder Beck Professor of Economics and Community Affairs, will provide as acting dean starting Jan. 4.

The look for committee will be chaired by Pat Sharkey, professor of sociology and public affairs. Other users, together with 8 faculty, just one undergraduate and a person graduate university student, are: Janet Currie, the Henry Putnam Professor of Economics and Public Affairs Rafaela Dancygier, professor of politics and intercontinental affairs Alex Glaser, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering and intercontinental affairs, and co-director of the Plan in Science and Global Protection Jonathan Mayer, assistant professor of computer system science and community affairs Nolan McCarty, the Susan Dod Brown Professor of Politics and General public Affairs, and director of the Center for Facts-Driven Social Science Sanyu Mojola, professor of sociology and public affairs, and director of the Place of work of Population Analysis Eduardo Morales, professor of economics and global affairs Betsy Levy Paluck, professor of psychology and general public affairs, and deputy director of the Kahneman-Treisman Middle for Behavioral Science and Policy Christian Potter, Class of 2022 Susan Ragheb, SPIA graduate scholar.

The committee will suggest candidates to Eisgruber, who will appoint the new dean, subject to approval of the Board of Trustees.
